Despite this, projections anticipate significant growth, with the industry expected to reach a value of $8.9 trillion (R170 trillion) by 2030, boasting an average annual growth rate of 3.6%.

In light of this slowdown, the sector in South Africa is actively evolving, leveraging technological innovations to optimise the transport industry as well as supply chain processes while addressing new obstacles. `
