“Podcast and Chill” co host, MacG, has apologised to amapiano star Nkosazana Daughter for suggesting that Sir Trill is not the father of her child.

The apology came after Daughter filed an R13 million defamation lawsuit against MacG earlier this week.

MacG made the controversial comments in July, during an episode of his podcast, where claimed that Master KG is the father of Daughter’s child and not Sir Trill’s as people may assume.

“Someone in Botswana told me and they are very close to Nkosazana Daughter. Apparently, that’s not Sir Trill’s kid, it’s Master KG’s kid, bro. I kid you not,” MacG said.

Daughter filed the lawsuit in the Johannesburg High Court, seeking damages for the harm done to her reputation and emotional state.

The lawsuit highlights that the case involves violations of evidentiary rules, particularly through the use of hearsay testimony, which lacks credibility. It further notes that the plaintiff, Daughter, is experiencing ongoing harm to her personal reputation.

Additionally, she is demanding a retraction from the podcasters for the defamatory statements.

On a recent episode of “Podcast and Chill”, MacG publicly apologised to Daughter for the accusations.

He said: “This is bad timing, so last week Sifiso came with Nkosazana’s brother ... He showed me a picture of her child, and ya, we were wrong. She looks just like Sir Trill ... So I want to apologise to Nkosazana for that.

“I’m saying it’s bad timing because now it seems like because the lawsuit came out I’m saying sorry because of the lawsuit, and it’s not, it’s because we were wrong.”

MacG then dropped another bombshell by saying that Sir Trill is allegedly not supporting the child.

Going back to the original accusation, MacG’s co-host, Sol Phenduka, shared how the rumour began.

Phenduka said: “I was on a call with some of my mates, not South Africans, they told me that. They were told by his homies in Sir Trill’s camp, and this is just gossip right?

“So we were waiting for a flight in Botswana, I remember very well. So I tell Mac, f***, I didn’t know Mac was going to come on the podcast and say it.

“The thing is with Mac you always have to say, ‘Ay bro, chill with that podcast shit. I’m telling you as my friend, and I was told by my friend, so yeah, that’s how it came about’,” said Phenduka.

Phenduka added: “No man guys, let’s support our kids man, I don’t get people who don’t support their kids.”
