South African export rapper and producer, Frank Casino, real name, Nhlanhla Tshabalala, recently returned to the music scene after a three-year hiatus with the hit song, “Fast Life”.

He followed up with the single, “Long Life”, two months later. Now the artist is preparing to drop his brand new 10-track EP, “By Design”.

His new work will be released on Friday, October 25, on all major streaming platforms.

The first two singles were a taste of what his fans can expect from his upcoming offering.

“Long Life” is a thoughtful analysis on Casino's experiences in life. He blows kisses to his past life while singing about starting a new journey. It has a soft, ethereal sound that skilfully combines pop, R&B, jazz and soul elements.

Meanwhile, “Fast Life” explored Casino's personal experiences navigating the vibrant nightlife of Johannesburg's northern suburbs.

Taking to Instagram, Casino wrote: “Sup Gang! My latest offering ‘BY DESIGN’ is now available for Pre Order, 10 Track EP dropping on 25/10/24! Two new songs out now across all DSPs!!! ... Thank you for your patience ❤️.”

The EP will feature notable collaborations with top artists such as Cassper Nyovest, Stogie T, Thando Zide and others.

“By Design” explores the intricacies of North Johannesburg life and provides a thoughtful analysis of the conflict between materialistic aspirations and the search for true fulfilment and connections.

“I aim to inspire and evoke emotions, inviting fans on a journey of resilience and aspiration amidst the imperfections of life's path,“ Casino shared through a statement.

Casino has quickly gained recognition as one of South Africa's notable musical exports through his guest appearance on the chart-topping hit, “Mayo”, by DJ Speedsta, Shane Eagle, Yung Swiss and Tellaman.

Following that, he released his major single “Whole Thing”, which was remixed by the late rapper, Riky Rick

He has also previously worked with Nyovest and Major League DJz on his acclaimed “Heroes of Tomorrow” EP, which went on to receive gold certification in SA.

According to a release, Casino is poised to enthral audiences once more with his distinct blend of talent and tenacity, demonstrating that his time away has only stoked his passion for producing outstanding music.
