As Valentine's Day fast approaches, music lovers are bracing themselves for the emotional tides that often accompany the celebration of love.

This year, South African artist Kiddo CSA is set to make a significant splash in the music scene with the release of his highly anticipated single, “Love Hurts”.

Launching on February 14, the track promises to resonate with anyone who has experienced the bittersweet pangs of love.

Known for his unique blend of hip-hop and pop, Kiddo has rapidly established himself as a creative force within Mzansi’s vibrant music scene.

His previous releases, especially the 2021 hit “Haibo”, which featured Sizwe Alakine and British singer-songwriter S1mba, have been met with resounding acclaim, showcasing his knack for lyrical depth and catchy rhythms.

With “Love Hurts”, Kiddo aims to delve into the intricate dynamics of romantic relationships, emphasising not simply the elation that love can bring, but also the heartache it can leave in its wake.

As couples relish their bonds, many others may find comfort in Kiddo's genuine lyrics that resonate with the pain of love lost.

The rapper took to social media to announce this forthcoming release, sharing a captivating snippet that has already piqued the interest of fans and musicians alike.

This announcement comes on the heels of a recent tease of a potential collaboration with Moozlie.

Born Sipho Ncube, Kiddo's journey in music is both inspiring and profound. His passion ignited during childhood, leading him to pursue music as his sole career.

"I’ve always loved making music, but I began making freestyle videos and posting them all over social media until big names took notice," he said in a recent interview with “Independent Media Lifestyle”.

This dedication and talent have made him a formidable presence in the hip-hop and rap scene.

Kiddo’s work ethic has already paid dividends; he has collaborated with prominent figures in the industry, including American rapper Mick Jenkins, all while drawing inspiration from musical icons like Kanye West.

"I mainly focus on life situations. I’m a teenager, I’m growing up, I’m realising life, and there are certain aspects of life that I don’t get to talk to anyone about. I just put them into music," he noted.
