Masterpiece YVK's new EP “Ke Dezemba” showcases collaborations with South Africa's top amapiano artists, promising an energetic and festive listening experience.
The musician, whose real name is Thabang Kganakga, dropped his latest musical offering on Friday, November 29.
“This energetic project, infused with dance and feel-good tracks, is perfect for the festive season,” a statement read.
The five-track project features the title song “Ke Dezemba”, featuring 1F4OUR1.
Meanwhile, Tyler ICU, Ceeka RSA and Al Xapo worked with YVK on “Mlume Bhobbi”.
ICU also features on “Fcken Car” along with Ceeka RSA, DJ Exit and & CowBoii as well as “Abangani” with Ceeka RSA, Boontle RSA and DJ Exit.
On “Desha”, YVK has teamed up with Young Stunna as well as Kabza De Small, Sly and Dench.
“The ‘Ke Dezemba’ EP promises to be a vibe-packed addition to any playlist, encapsulating the festive spirit of December,” the statement added.
“The tracklist features exciting collaborations with some of the biggest names in the industry, ensuring an unforgettable musical experience.”
Celebrated as the new kid on the amapiano block, the 29-year-old singer and songwriter has enjoyed a stellar 2024,which was marked by his involvement in numerous hit singles including the chart-topping “Manzi Nte” and his acclaimed EP “Woza Madzala”.
Renowned for his catchy phrases and vibrant lyrics, Masterpiece YVK has solidified his reputation as a staple in the dance and amapiano genres.
Born in Delmas in Mpumalanga, YVK was raised in Thembisa on Gauteng’s East Rand.
“City Press” reported that before he ventured into music, the artist was a club MC and did fashion shows.
His breakthrough came in 2021 when he was signed to Piano Hub, a record label owned by Kabza De Small.
