Moonchild Sanelly has announced the details of her new studio album, Full Moon, set to drop on January 10, 2025, under Transgressive Records, an independent label based in London.

The announcement comes alongside the release of “Do My Dance,” the fourth single from the album.

Also announced today is her 2025 headline tour in the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland.

The tour will kick off in Manchester on March 18, 2025, with dates in Dublin, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham, and Bristol, before a return to London for what promises to be an unforgettable night at Heaven, a nightclub in London, on March 26, 2025.

Full Moon is Sanelly’s third studio album, produced by Johan Hugo (Self Esteem, MIA, Kano) and recorded in Malawi, the UK, and Sweden.

The album features twelve tracks that highlight her unique singing style, joyous energy, and ability to create hits that transcend genre boundaries.

With “Do My Dance” being the latest in a string of new releases, the album’s club-ready beats move seamlessly between electronic, afro-punk, edgy-pop, kwaito, and hip-hop influences.

The single “Do My Dance” bounces across genres and tempos, with fast-paced verses supported by a cheerful hardcore beat, culminating in a bright, bold sing along chorus.

The music video for “Do My Dance,” directed by Nate Thomas, was filmed in Johannesburg and showcases Moonchild Sanelly in all her glorious aesthetic, crowned by her signature hairstyle, the teal-coloured “Moon Mop.”

“I called this record Full Moon to convey the clear sense I got from living and writing these experiences. Phases showcased all my sides, like the different phases of the moon, but this one is all those parts of me in unison.

“When the moon is in phases, it shows parts of itself at a time. Full Moon is me, fully illuminated. The arrival of my whole self. It’s the arrival,” she says.

Sanelly, whose given name is Sanelisiwe Twisha, adds that Full Moon represents the peak of everything she needed to experience to get to this point, capturing every emotion she had to feel.

“This project has it all, from beginning to end. The fights, the sadness, the resilience, the letting go, the forgiveness, the acceptance. There’s a sense of mental and spiritual wholeness that comes with forgiveness, and it makes you complete. So here I am, a Full Moon,” Sanelly explains.

She marked her return in May 2025 with the release of the first single to be featured on the up and coming album, “Scrambled Eggs.”

It was followed by two more singles, “Sweet and Savage,” which premiered with an exclusive show for ColorsxStudios and the “infectiously tongue-in-cheek” track “Big B**ty.”
