Nomzamo Mbatha is set to host the BET International Glitz & Glam at the annual Black Girls Rock (BGR) honoree celebration in New Jersey.
Nomzamo is headed to New York, to host another international event, with BET International for its Global Glitz & Glam (Red Carpet) at the Black Girls Rock (BGR) annual honouree celebrations, Saturday, August 5.
"I am still buzzing from my BET Awards and Essence Festival hosting experiences, then this call came through from BET International. It's been a humbling period of Blessings. I couldn't say no, as BGR is an initiative that I've followed for almost 10 years now and I truly commend its founder, Beverly Bond's passion to honour and celebrate black girls (women) who are trailblazers in their various fields and social causes."
One of the lessons I most treasure from my last US trip was to be surrounded by strong and successful women who embrace and celebrate each other. Women who congratulate each other with NO reservation as one BLACK GIRL's win is for all of us."
Nomzamo will also be filming for BET A LIST, a weekly lifestyle show on BET Africa (channel 129) - on which she's a presenter.
On Sunday, August 6, Nomzamo will travel to Philadelphia to attend the screening of her latest big screen feature in the Pan African film, A Hotel Called Memory. The film premieres at the 6th Annual Blackstar Film Festival.

"It was such an amazing experience to be part of this project. Having to portray and deliver the character, without my voice was a refreshing challenge to my skills and I loved being able to push myself. Of course working with Akin Omotoso, who gives you great direction and allows you to find yourself in the character.
