Black Brain Pictures is making waves with its latest series, "Mr Easy Loo", now streaming on Netflix as of December 27. The show has already garnered attention for its powerful narrative and stellar cast, including Aubrey Poo as Sam Matoma, Sibulele Gcilitshana as Francina, Nandi Nyembe as Gogo Khumalo, Molefi Monaisa as Sam’s Uncle, Thulani Mtsweni as Bra Sanza, and Nkanyiso Bhengu as Ma E.

In an exclusive interview with TshisaLIVE, Mandla N, the visionary behind the series, spoke about the personal significance of "Mr Easy Loo".

“This series is close to my heart. It tells our stories, especially those of our forefathers — great entrepreneurs who paved the way for us,” he shared. Mandla N emphasised the importance of highlighting the achievements of black entrepreneurs, noting that while many series tend to focus on crime and societal challenges, few celebrate positive role models like the late Richard Maponya, a pioneering figure in South Africa’s business landscape.

"Mr Easy Loo" has already made an impact on viewers. Fans on X (formerly Twitter) have been quick to praise the show for its compelling storytelling and exceptional performances. User @Jabu_Mcdonald raved, “I really enjoyed this movie. I think it might be one of my favourite local movies. It’s so well-written and tells a beautiful, inspiring story with an incredible cast.”
