Playing the infamous Ebenezer Scrooge is Zak Hendrikz, a name many will recognise from “Kelders Van Geheime” and “7de Laan”. The actor has built an impressive career in musical theatre, film and television, making him the perfect choice to bring this iconic character to life.
His past roles in productions like “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Grease” (on international tour) showcase his ability to transform on stage, and fans will get to see him at his best in this much-loved role.
Joining Hendrikz is the talented Angela Sparks, who will take on multiple roles in this fast-paced, dynamic production.
She brings Dickens’ world of Victorian London to life, playing everything from Scrooge’s loyal clerk Bob Cratchit to the ghosts that visit him on his journey. Sparks’ versatility and energy will ensure the whole cast shines in this enchanting retelling of a classic Christmas tale.

“all my ex-lovers are dead”
This is a thought-provoking one-woman show written and directed by Dara Beth, starring the multi-award-winning Qondiswa James.
With sound design by Denise Onen, the production delves into the complexities of love, desire and the choices we make along the way.
James, a black and queer femme from rural Transkei, brings a powerful voice to this emotional exploration. Known for her work as a theatre-maker, performance artist and writer, James has previously directed standout pieces like “Emhlab’Obomvu” (NAF 2016) and “Silindile” (UCT New Voices 2017), earning recognition for her raw and honest storytelling.
“all my ex-lovers are dead” takes audiences on a journey through the tangled mess of relationships, the highs and lows of love and the emotional baggage left behind when lovers fade from our lives.
The show is an intimate experience, as James, in the role of Echo, recounts a deeply personal narrative.
Through Echo's voice, the audience is invited into a space of vulnerability and longing, questioning the choices made in love and the lingering attachments that hold us hostage even after those relationships have ended.
The play, while playful in its teasing of memory and sensation, also confronts the grief and melancholy that comes with unrequited love.
