Award-winning South African comedian Dalin Oliver is returning home after a whirlwind 6-country, 13-city tour, across Europe and the UK.

He's now gearing up to bring the laughs to audiences nationwide with his latest one-man show, “90 Day Comedian”.

Hot off the international comedy circuit, Oliver will make stops in Johannesburg, Durban, Paarl, East London, Gqeberha, and Cape Town from October 1 to November 30, 2024.

Prepare for a 75-minute laughter-filled journey that explores identity, cultural politics, and what it means to be proudly South African in a world that often doesn’t understand our nation's rich diversity and history.

Oliver has made waves on the comedy stage with his unique perspective, earning him numerous accolades.

His international tour included performances at prestigious festivals under the World Fringe Network, where he picked up the “Best Weekly Comedy Show” honours at Fringe World.

He also won a “Bronze Standard Bank Ovation Award” at South Africa’s National Arts Festival in Makhanda.

Reflecting on his international journey, Oliver said: "Performing in 18 cities and 7 countries over the past year has really shaped the show.

“Travelling made me appreciate just how special we are as South Africans. The world needs more South Africans to teach them how to be 'lekker'."

He added that “90 Day Comedian” was inspired by his 90-day work visa while performing in Australia. The tour allowed him to experience diverse cultures, new places, and how different audiences respond to comedy.

Oliver explained: “I was exposed to different cultures and how audiences react to comedy differently. But what stood out was how special South Africans are — our unique perspective is something the world needs to see.”

In addition to his comedic success, Oliver is well-known for his work as a radio sports broadcaster. He hosted “The Late Late Tackle”, a rugby show featuring the Springboks.

His witty take on South African life and his skill at drawing humour from everyday situations has made him a beloved figure both locally and internationally.

Oliver’s “90 Day Comedian” tour is a mix of comedy, travel and South African pride.

The show offers a coming-of-age story for him as a performer, reflecting his growth on international stages and his experiences in countries such as Namibia, Canada, and more recently, across Europe.
