CHILDLINE KZN is hosting a FunFest later this month to raise money for the critical programmes it runs in the province.
Last year the organisation made an urgent appeal for funding to keep its offices around the province open.
Adeshini Naicker the organisation’s provincial director has called on children and adults to support the event at the Northwood Crusaders sports club in Durban North between 9am and 4pm on on February 22.
“All funds raised from the event will go towards supporting Childline KZN’s critical programmes aimed at the protection, welfare, and empowerment of vulnerable children and families across the province,” said Naicker.
She said there would be an activity for everyone making it the perfect outing for families, friends and supporters of Childline KZN.
Naicker said some of the highlights include a tea garden with live music, an inflatable park where children can jump, play and enjoy hours of fun in a safe environment.
There would also be face painting as well as a variety of stalls and various food stalls to cater for every taste.
“We are thrilled to host FunFest and invite the community to come together for a day of family-friendly fun and support for a great cause.
“With your attendance, you can help make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most,” said Naicker.
Admission is R30 per person with free entry for children under 12, she said.
Childline KZN Childline KZN is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare and protection of children in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
