London - Modern technology, from two-way baby monitors to bottle sterilisers, has made the lives of parents easier in many ways. But the latest advance - a digital system to alert parents to when a nappy needs changing - may be a step too far.

TweetPee is a bird-shaped sensor and wireless antenna which clips onto the front of a nappy to monitor moisture levels.

When it detects an increase in dampness, it sends a Twitter alert to let Mom - or Dad - know that it’s time for a change.

The device has been developed by Huggies and is being tested by parents.

If only they could devise an app that can actually change a nappy. - Daily Mail
