The millennials (1981-1996), one of the best generations who experienced both pre and post-social media life, are being moved off the radar.
According to several reports, Generation Beta are born in 2025.
“Times of India” reported that any child born between 2025 and 2039 will be part of Generation Beta.
Gen Beta comes after Generation Alpha (2010 - 2024).
Gen Beta is predicted to be special. Born to younger millennials and older Gen Z, Beta will be the first generation to “experience autonomous transportation at scale, wearable health technologies and immersive virtual environments as standard aspects of daily life.”
“Their formative years will be marked by a greater emphasis on personalisation — AI algorithms will tailor their learning, shopping, and social interactions in ways we can only begin to imagine today,” reported social researcher Mark McCrindle”.
While millennials use technology to document their children’s lives and share parenting tips, it is reported that Gen Z parents have a better understanding of balancing normal and technological life by limiting their children’s screen time.
“Gen Z parents are more likely to strongly agree that limiting their child’s screen time is a high priority for them (36% Gen Z parents compared to 30% older Millennial parents).
“As the most technologically savvy generation of parents, Gen Z sees the benefits of technology and screen time, but equally, they see the downsides of it and are pushing back on technology and the age at which their children access and engage with it,” McCrindle added.
So far, most people who reacted are not amused by the term Gen Beta.
“This gotta be the most unfortunate name for a generation ever,” said @kirawontmiss.
