Detroit Motor Show - Tone down some of the more flamboyant concept car details and what you see here is essentially the new Toyota Corolla.
Presuming that they don't dull it down too much, this means that Toyota's long-serving compact sedan could finally become a car that rests on more than just its reputation for rock-solid reliability.
Toyota describes the Corolla Furio Concept as having a “confident, decisive and recognisable appearance that appeals to more youthful consumers.”
Do you feel they've achieved that?
Toyota has yet to show us inside the concept and its mechanical composition remains a mystery for now.
There's also no official word on when the new Corolla production model will be launched. Later this year would be a good bet for international release, but Toyota SA has confirmed that the new sedan will not reach local shores this year. -IOL Motoring Staff
