Johannesburg -

A Joburg man says he is willing to sell one of his kidneys for tickets to the FA Cup clash between Manchester United and Preston North End FC.

Michael Jackson, a diehard Preston fan, who has been living in Joburg for the past 25 years, is desperate to see his team face up against one of England’s most formidable and successful football clubs.

Jackson, who grew up in Deepdale, Preston in the UK, has even launched a Facebook campaign in the hope he can make a return to Deepdale this weekend to watch the game live on Sunday.

The 52-year-old told a British newspaper this week: “I’d sell a kidney to get a ticket. Someone suggested I should ride a giraffe. I’d do whatever it takes.

“I’d swim from Cape Town to the River Ribble (in Northern England).

“It’s on TV but I want to be there in person cheering on the Lilywhites. But it is impossible to get a ticket.”
