London -
Her eyes out on stalks, this Donald Trump fan was clearly overcome when she encountered the US presidential hopeful’s blond comb-over in all its glory at a rally.
Whether she had heard about his latest controversy is another matter.
The first TV campaign advert for the 69-year-old, who is leading the way to become the Republican party’s candidate, was found to contain misleading footage - and was lambasted on social media as a result.
The film, which promises to build a wall on America’s southern border and seemed to show Mexican migrants crossing in to the US, in fact played scenes shot at a border in Morocco.
Trump’s spokesman Hope Hicks said: ‘The use of this footage was intentional and selected to demonstrate the severe impact of an open border.’
On Tuesday it emerged MPs will debate a petition calling for Trump to be banned from Britain after he said Muslims should be barred from entering the US - as well as a rival one saying he should be allowed in.
