Police in Thailand charged a woman for storing a large cache of condoms that caught fire, reports said on Tuesday.
Napat Phenthong admitted to ownership of the 1.5 tons of condoms, and was charged with storing hazardous waste.
Napat said she had bought the defective condoms from a factory and had been drying them on her land so that she could sell them to a recycling factory.
The condoms were bought for 30 000 baht (around 1 000 US dollars) and had been sitting out in the open for a year, according to Matichon newspaper. - Sapa-dpa
