South Africa is set to experience a diverse range of weather conditions this weekend, with warm to hot temperatures dominating most regions while isolated to scattered showers bring relief to the eastern and southeastern coasts.

For Saturday, the South African Weather Service predicts isolated 30% to scattered 60% showers and thundershowers across the eastern and southeastern parts of the country. Cities like Durban and Mbombela might see some rain, with temperatures remaining warm.

The rest of the country will bask in hot conditions, with regions like Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Kimberley expected to experience dry heat. Coastal areas, including Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, are set for warm and sunny weather, making it ideal for outdoor activities.

For Sunday, the eastern parts will continue to see light showers, with a 30% chance of rain persisting in areas like Polokwane and Mbombela. Meanwhile, the southeastern coast will still have some relief from the scattered showers and thundershowers.

Inland regions, including the Northern Cape and Free State, will experience very hot conditions, with some temperatures soaring, particularly in areas like Prieska. Along the Western Cape coast, sunny skies and moderate warmth will prevail, creating perfect beach weather.

As South Africa enters the summer season, residents are advised to stay hydrated in the heat and prepare for possible thunderstorms in the eastern regions.
