South Africa’s Branden Grace is one of five LIV Golf stars who face an uncertain future on the Saudi-funded tour after suffering relegation at the end of the season.
Grace had a phenomenal start to his LIV Golf career after jumping ship from the PGA Tour. In 2022, he won the LIV Invitational Portland and finished second on the individual points list behind American Dustin Johnson, bagging a cool $16,634,666 (just over R281 million).
By the end of the 2023 season, Grace was fifth on the all-time LIV Golf money list $25,362,083 after he finished ninth in individual standings following five top 10 finishes.
However, he made just under $5 million during the 2024 campaign, which saw him finish in the relegation spots.
After Spain’s Jon Rahm finished atop the individual points and money lists, Grace was relegated alongside former two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson, Kieran Vincent, Scott Vincent and Kalle Samooja.

It remains unclear what will happen to Grace and the other relegated players.
According to Golf Monthly, it seems that those relegated will have to go through the Asian Tour's International Series or LIV Golf Promotions event at the end of the year to have a chance of continuing on the LIV Golf League circuit.
Grace has been part of the all-South African Stingers team on the LIV Golf Tour. The team is captained by 2010 Open Championship winner Louis Oosthuizen and also features former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester.
