‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ star Erica Ash has died

The entertainment industry is mourning one of its own following the passing of Erica Ash. The “Real Husbands of Hollywood” actress, 46, passed away on July 28 after battling with cancer.

A statement from her family, read: "After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she transitioned peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Erica was an amazing woman and talented entertainer who touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humour, and genuine zest for life. Her memory will live eternally in our hearts.“

The comedian known for her roles on “Survivor's Remorse” and “The Big Gay Sketch Show”, will be missed not only by her family and friends but also by fans who have supported her throughout her career.

Donna Burke commented: “Devastated to hear this gorgeous, original, funny soul who I first met in Japan in the 2000s has died. Erica started acting in Tokyo, and when she got the success she deserved in LA, I wasn’t surprised-what a talent.

“What a delight when she popped into Tokyo 18 years later and said hi! What wit and cheeky determination. Full of life and gratefulness. Oh dear- her poor family and friends- sending you tears and hugs.”

Most of her friends remembered Ash for her iconic roles and how she was effortlessly funny without trying too much.

“Sad to confirm my friend and fellow actress Erica Ash’s passing. Erica was talented & hilarious. Whether it was the show ‘Survivor’s  Remorse’ or ‘Madtv’, she would put her all into her work. She would always just be there... now she’s gone.

“My sincere condolences to her family,” said award-winning comedian Loni Love.
