History was made as Rotary District 9400, representing Botswana, Eswatini, Mozambique, and South Africa, signed a groundbreaking Intercountry Committee Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Italy, Malta, and San Marino.

District Governor George Senosha, in his opening remarks, described the moment as "history in the making" and likened the agreement to "a beacon of hope and a catalyst for action."

"This MOU embodies the spirit of Rotary—a commitment to service, a dedication to creating positive peace, and an unwavering belief in the potential of partnership," he said.

Past District Governor Annemarie Mostert, Intercountry Committee chairperson-elect, reinforced this vision, highlighting the opportunities the partnership creates for tackling critical issues such as education, healthcare, and economic development.
