THE JOHANNESBURG High Court has again heard gruesome testimonies from two more women detailing their brutal rapes in Bramfischerville.

They were testifying yesterday against Jacinto Chilenge and Felix Machava, who are charged with 37 counts – including rape, housebreaking with intent to rob, robbery with aggravating circumstances, compelling a person 18 years or older to witness a sex act, and unlawful possession of a firearm and of ammunition.

This brings to seven the number of women to have testified about rapes that took place in 2009 and 2010.

Rape survivor Felicia* said three men attacked her in her shack in April last year. They stole her TV set, DVD player, clothes and cellphone. One of the men ordered her to take off her pyjamas and raped her.

Asked how the ordeal had affected her life, she answered, “I feel as though I’m no longer a person. My dignity has been taken from me. I feel so angry and I feel so dirty.”

The trial continues.
