The Waterfront Duck Co., the first amphibious bus boat in Africa, launched its unique bus-boat tour experience on 6 August 2024.
The opening event took place at The Radisson Red, Silo District at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town with tourism partners, media and V&A Waterfront management joining the celebration of this exciting new attraction.
Alderman James Vos, City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth gave the city’s vote of support of The Waterfront Duck and their place in the eco-system of tourism in the Cape.
The Waterfront Duck Co. combines the excitement of a bus tour with the thrill of a boat ride.
Guests will embark on a journey through the best of the Waterfront and surrounding area before seamlessly transitioning into a floating trip on the water at the iconic V&A Waterfront providing an immersive sightseeing experience.

“Our tours are designed to offer a fun and engaging way to explore both the land and waterways, highlighting the best of what our city has to offer.”
The Waterfront Duck Co. tours will operate daily, offering multiple departure times to accommodate visitors' schedules.
