This week 13 homes were listed as for sale listing in Clifton with prices ranging from R14 million to R160m, selling with one or four parking bays, which had a price tag of R2.5m.

For comfort and security, according to Seeff Properties’ website, one of the highest selling properties included one of R160m which is located in Nettleton Road in Clifton and sports five bedrooms with each having being en-suite, with four parking bays.

It also featured an outside garden, gym, pool and back-up power and double staff accommodation with a bond repayment of more than R1.7m a month.

But if this is too deep for your pocket, a two-bedroom house with two bathrooms and one parking bay could have been yours for R13 750 000.

It has a beautiful view of the ocean and was just sold under a sole mandate.

According to Business Tech, property statistics showed that nearly R2 billion in sales were completed in Clifton over the last five years.

Jo Lombard, a luxury sales specialist with Seeff Atlantic Seaboard, told Business Tech that parking bay prices influenced prices.

He said that in the past year prices ranged between R44m and R50m for the past year and that the highest prices on average for a parking bay came to R187 000 a square metre.

The site said a parking bay of 16 square metres sold for R2.5 million.
