Gospel powerhouse Khaya Mthethwa is gearing up to once again merge art and faith in spectacular fashion with the return of Art and Worship II; a live experience that promises to be a powerful blend of music, creativity, and spiritual connection.
Set to take place on November 15, 2025 at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City, the second edition of the worship experience follows the huge success of its predecessor, which left audiences uplifted and inspired.
“Art and Worship II is a celebration of the gift of worship, but also a call to embrace art as a language of faith,” Mthethwa shared. “This show is about excellence, culture, and creating a space where people can encounter God through every sense.”
The award-winning musician, worship leader, and creative visionary said this year’s edition will expand beyond just performance, it will also focus on empowering others through free Worship Masterclasses, where Mthethwa and his team will visit churches across Johannesburg to equip the next generation of worship leaders.
“I’m an artist and a worshiper, so bringing these two parts of my life together means unearthing creativity while pursuing God with all that I am,” he explained.
With doors opening at 4pm, Art & Worship II promises an evening of high-energy praise, soul-stirring moments, and deep reflection. Mthethwa said everyone, including the deaf community, is welcome, with the entire show set to include sign language interpretation.
“All are welcome. We’ve made sure that everyone can experience this move of God together,” he says.
When asked what he hopes audiences will take away from the night, Mthethwa’s answer is heartfelt and simple.
“I want people to leave refreshed, revived, encouraged, and loved by God,” he said. “I believe that God is reviving South Africa, and as we come together as worshipers, we will have the power to change people’s lives.”
The lineup for the event includes, Hle, Taki Ndou, Xolly Mncwango, Oncemore Six and Yanga.
