The feud between T.I. and 50 Cent has been brewing for years, but it reignited recently after a proposed "Verzuz" battle between the two failed to materialise.

T.I. has fired a new lyrical shot at 50 Cent, dropping a track titled “War” as their simmering feud spills from interviews to social media and now into the booth.
What began as talk of a "Verzuz" battle has turned into a public clash pulling in family members and fans, with both camps trading insults in full view of the internet.
“War” arrives on the heels of 50 Cent dragging T.I.’s family online, a move that has since drawn T.I.’s son, Clifford "King" Harris III, into the fray.
The record opens with a slowed-down a cappella sample of Curtis Mayfield’s “Little Child, Running Wild” before T.I., born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr, steps in with direct bars over heavy production.
“Top three in my city, you know I’m in that, and I ain’t number three, what you gettin’ at?” he raps. “I know we ain’t trying to pretend the king won’t get a sledgehammer for an insect. Listen, I built this throne, boy, you wouldn’t exist.”
He doubles down with sharper jabs: “Got a concrete crown, boy, this shit don’t even fit you / Big dawg talking, little shit, zoo / Come on now, you say you outdid who? Better settle down / Know the dawg hold your head down,” making it clear that he believes his position in the game is not up for debate.
The tension traces back to a proposed “Verzuz” battle that never materialised.
Since the platform launched in 2020, T.I. has repeatedly challenged 50 Cent (born Curtis James Jackson III) to a song-for-song showdown. In a conversation with Gillie Da Kid on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, T.I. claimed that the idea was once a mutual agreement.
“At first it was about celebrating each other’s catalogue,” he said. “Me and that na talked about this. I did not just call him out of the blue. I said, ‘What you think about this?’ He was like, ‘You wanna do that?’ I said, 'Yeah'.
He said, ‘Aight cool.’ When I jumped out there, that na act like he ain’t know what the f**k going on. Then, that is what it was about.”
50 Cent responded in his own way. After T.I.’s interview aired, he posted an unflattering photo of T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, with the caption, “I keep saying keep my name out ya mouth.”
He followed up by posting an image of Pepe the Frog, simply captioned: “LOL”.
That post struck a nerve with Clifford, who responded by sharing a photo of 50 Cent’s mother’s grave and criticising him in a lengthy Instagram Story video.
Fans remain divided online.
One user commented, “They are still following each other; this beef is not real, it is all planned, but at least we are getting real music out of this fabricated beef.”
Another wrote, “They got my favourite rapper back in that mode.”
A third simply declared, “King is back.”
