Organisers behind the long-running music and lifestyle festival, the Delicious International Food and Music Festival, have thanked DStv for their support for the past 12 years.
At the weekend, news broke that MultiChoice owners, Canal+, have pulled the plug on its sponsorship of the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival.
According to Sunday World, the decision forms part of Canal+'s massive corporate restructuring.
In a statement, the Delicious International Food and Music Festival, acknowledgeed the end of the sponsorship partnership.
"The Delicious International Food and Music Festival would like to extend sincere thanks to DStv for 12 incredible years as our headline sponsor. Their support has played a meaningful role in shaping the festival into one of South Africa’s most loved lifestyle events.
"As this valued partnership comes to a close, we are excited to step into a new chapter.
"The Delicious Festival remains an independently owned and produced event, built to evolve and built to last. We remain committed to delivering the world-class music, exceptional food, and rich cultural experiences that our audience has come to expect," read the statement.
Organisers also added that the event will take place over two days on September 19 and 20 at Kyalami Grand Prix.
While music and food lovers await announcements regarding the lineup, here are some of the international artists who have taken to the stage. Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Burna Boy, Maxwell, Erykah Badu and Wycleaf Jean.
Burna Boy and Erykah Badu and Wycleaf Jean made sure that when they took to the stage, to wear local designers Thebe Magugu and MaXhosa.
