Babyface and other top international acts in Joburg this weekend

Babyface Live: All White Soul Sessions

Multiple Grammy Award-winning superstar Babyface is bringing his “All White Soul Sessions” to Gauteng this weekend for an epic festive season musical extravaganza.

The “Everytime I Close My Eyes” hitmaker, who also won an Oscar for producing and co-writing Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey’s “When You Believe”, will perform two shows in Pretoria.

Fans can expect to hear some of his classic hits from his monumental discography, which saw him contribute to over 800 million records sold and over a billion records streamed. 

Babyface has impacted, written for and/or produced for some of the biggest artists in the world such as Bobby Brown, Boyz II Men, Eric Clapton, Madonna, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Mary J Blige, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, George Michael, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Jay Z, Stevie Wonder and Barbara Streisand, among many others.

Where: The SunBet Arena at Time Square Casino.

When: Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13, at 5pm on both days.

GO! Festival

Attendees of this summer house music festival can expect a diverse electronic music experience, including house, techno, melodic electronic and Afro-inspired sounds.

Those on the line-up includes international heavyweights such as Australian singer and musician RY X, Turkish DJ Carlita and Belgian producer Samm.

Local supporting acts include Abby Nurock, Baby Whitz, Blanka Mazimela and FKA Mash.

Where: James and Ethel Gray Park.

When: Saturday, December 13, from 12pm.

Comedy Circle

Some of Mzansi’s biggest comedians are set to bring the laughs at this night of stand-up comedy.

The line-up includes Robby Collins, Lindy Johnson, Wazi Kunene and Ndumiso Lindi. They will be joined by Khabane Moloi and Bongani Dube.
