BLOND:ISH presents ‘Abracadabra’

The world-renowned Canadian DJ and producer is bringing the first-ever “Abracadabra” event to Johannesburg this weekend.

This event is BLOND:ISH’s iconic movement where music, energy, and purpose unite.

Attendees can expect an expertly curated mix that transcends genres.

The musician, whose real name is Vivie-ann Bakos, is acclaimed for her eclectic, high-energy sets, which range from Afro house to techno house.

Where: Old Park Station in Newton.

When: Friday, January 30, from 6pm.

Coming Of Age

Some of Mzansi’’s biggest stars will take to the stage at the ninth edition of this cultural movement which seeks to bring Soweto’s creative community together through music.

Featured acts include Kabza de Small, Oscar Mbo, Darque, Shakes & Les, Emtee, Thebe, Lulo Cafe and Speedsta.

Founded by Kitchen Mess, the renowned artist and cultural tastemaker, at its core, Coming of Age represents growth, creativity and connection, a space where diverse audiences and artists unite to celebrate artistry.

Where: The Chiawelo Community Hall. 

When: Saturday, January 31, from 12pm.

Fourways Mall Night Market

Fourways Mall is kicking off the 2026 Night Market with a fresh new theme focused on health and wellness, while some crowd-pleasers will also be available.

Expect a vibrant mix of a delicious range of eats and treats. There will also be live music, competitions and prizes.
