Architect and interior designer Olesja Golova masterfully transforms a 1,300 sqm suburban home near Moscow into a harmonious blend of timeless elegance and contemporary sophistication. Designed for a successful businesswoman and CEO, the residence embodies understated luxury with subtle Art Deco influences, bespoke craftsmanship, and meticulously curated details.
From the outset, the design concept remained consistent, ensuring every element was executed with precision. The home’s axial layout enhances its sense of grandeur, leading from the entrance through a sequence of refined spaces to the monumental staircase in the hall and spacious living room. The ground floor features a kitchen, dining area, study, and utility rooms, while the second floor houses a serene master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and dual walk-in closets plus two en-suite children’s bedrooms. The basement is dedicated to relaxation, complete with a spa, gym, and private cinema.
Luxurious Materials & Architectural Details
Inspired by French Art Deco and classic European villas, Golova incorporated natural materials like travertine, Jura marble, and oak veneer. The staircase hall, with its travertine-clad walls, custom marble flooring, and cascading Bocci glass chandelier, serves as the home’s breathtaking focal point. Architectural elements like rounded columns, mirrored panels, and pilasters unify the space, creating a visually balanced and immersive interior.
Elegant Furnishings & Bespoke Art Pieces
Every piece of furniture, from vintage Milo Baughman armchairs to custom-designed consoles and tables, was carefully selected to achieve a layered, timeless aesthetic. Carefully selected artwork enhances the home’s refined atmosphere, while the exclusive "Tourmaline" custom furniture collection brings a distinctive touch to the interiors.
