In her triumphant announcement, Lizzo revealed a significant change on the weighing scale, noting she saw a number that she hadn’t registered since 2014.
Accompanying her post was a motivational message for her followers: “Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!”
The post showcased photos where she confidently posed for a mirror selfie. In the top left corner, a screenshot from a weight-tracking app congratulated her on reaching her target weight, a moment of achievement that many aspire to.
Following that, another image provided a close-up of her incredible transformation - illustrating a reduction of 10.5 in her body mass index (BMI) and a commendable 16% decrease in body fat since kicking off her journey in January 2024.

The video shared insights from the start of her transformation, where she candidly discussed the harsh labels she faced, from being deemed “morbidly obese” on the BMI scale to being ridiculed on social media.
Despite these challenges, she remained optimistic about the journey ahead, exclaiming, “I am happy. I did it.”
Throughout the previous year, Lizzo had been “methodical” about losing weight “very slowly” through a balanced diet and determined exercise.
