‘Rocking the Daisies’ and GalxBoy team up to launch exclusive festival merchandise
“Rocking The Daisies" (RTD) has teamed up with GalxBoy for an exclusive merchandise collaboration at the renowned Mother City music and lifestyle event.
Set to be held at the picturesque Cloof Wine Estate in Darling from October 3 to 6, this year’s festival promises a memorable occasion.
This experience will be enhanced through the limited-edition pieces from the iconic local clothing brand who are renowned for their vibrant designs and authentic cultural flair.
“Festival-goers will have the chance to grab limited-edition pieces that celebrate both the spirit of the festival and the essence of South African fashion,” a statement read.
“Stand out in bold, eye-catching apparel that fuses music and artistry, while supporting local talent.”
Meanwhile, the festival and the fashion house are also working together for the 2024 Festival Talent Search competition.
It seeks to highlight some of South Africa’s brightest budding designers and these young creatives were all invited to submit five original looks, which were judged by a select panel of industry experts.
The top 5 designers competing for this prestigious awards are Zeshaan Samodien, Kgopotso Malefo, Itumeleng Pheto, Tadiwanshe Karen Kaparipari and Rauna Ndeilenga.
They will also showcase their collections at the RTD Fashion Showcase during the festival. Each designer’s range must be aligned with the festival's 2024 theme, "Into the Stars", and the winner will be announced after the fashion show.
The winning designer will receive a cash prize of R20 000, the opportunity to collaborate on the RTD 2025 capsule collection as well as a one-week internship with the brand.
"We're excited to witness these talented young designers take to the RTD runway and showcase their looks,“ GalxBoy’s founder and creative director Thatiso Dube said.
“More importantly, we’re committed to nurturing the next generation of South African fashion creatives.”

Meanwhile, with just a few days to go before the event, attendees can look forward to performances by some of the country’s top musicians such as Nasty C, Shekhinah, Ayra Starr and Sun El Musician.
For the first time at the event, the SuperSportBet Sports Centre which will feature indoor football, basketball, amongst others.
Another new attraction this year is Daisy Town, a whimsical hub filled with art installations, shopping stalls and immersive experiences.
“It’s the perfect way to kick off the summer season with friends and great vibes,” festival organiser Alex De Villiers said.
