Police make Goodwood drug bust

Police have arrested a 48-year-old man in Goodwood after seizing thousands of rand worth of mandrax and tik there.

Officers confiscated 17624 mandrax tablets and 476 half mandrax tablets along with cash and tik in the garage of a Goodwood property last Friday, said police spokesman Sergeant Wesley Twigg. Two licensed firearms were also seized during the bust.

This follows a bust at a Goodwood flat earlier this month in which police seized 19 guns and R3 million worth of drugs (“Police seize 19 guns and R3m in drugs in Goodwood,” July 9).
