A Rwandan man has been caught with mandrax tablets and tik worth R1 million, in Parow, say police.
The bust happened after officers acting on a tip-off searched a Parow house early today, Tuesday October 29.
“Upon entering the house, a search ensued which resulted in the recovery of a consignment of drugs with an estimated street value of R1 million. They detained a 42-year-old foreign national for dealing in drugs,” said police spokesman Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi.
In July, police arrested a 48-year-old man in neighbouring Goodwood, after seizing mandrax and tik worth thousands of rands (“Police make Goodwood drug bust,” July 26), and 19 guns along with drugs worth R3 million were also seized in Goodwood early in July.
