Controversial media personality and social commentator Ngizwe Mchunu's home was allegedly set alight on Sunday.
Three men allegedly stormed the property and set parts of the house on fire.
"Ningangikhulumel ngisazozikhulumela (don't speak for me, I'll speak up for myself," he posted on social media.
Mchunu has become a prominent and divisive figure in recent months, drawing attention for his strong anti-illegal immigration rhetoric and his participation in marches calling for stricter border control and the removal of undocumented foreign nationals from South Africa.
Actor and anti-illegal immigration activist Phakelumthakathi, also known as Nkosinathi Ndabandaba, claimed that the fire at the rural home was a targeted attack after a group of men allegedly arrived looking for the former radio presenter.
"Those people came searching for Ngizwe. He wasn't home. When they left, the children saw that the house was on fire," he said.
He added that while no one was physically harmed, the damage to the property was severe.
"With God's grace, no one was harmed. But there was damage to the furniture, and the house has been destroyed.
"What matters most is that no one was harmed and everyone is alive," he said.
Ndaba-Ndaba further claimed the incident may be part of a troubling pattern, alleging that "two weeks ago, men showed up at one of our acquaintance's home, asked for him and when they couldn't find him, they smashed all windows."
