Pretoria is set to celebrate its youngest creative talents as the 4th Annual Primary Schools’ Art Exhibit returns to Woodlands Boulevard from 22 to 31 May 2026.
For children aged 5 to 13, the mall transforms into a public gallery where budding artists showcase their creativity, giving the city a glimpse of its future creative leaders.
Woodlands Boulevard becomes a hub for young talent this May as the 4th Annual Primary Schools’ Art Exhibit presents artwork from 18 schools across Pretoria, offering children a first chance to show their creativity to the community.

The event is proudly sponsored by Thunder Valley Spur, who provide food voucher prizes for first, second and third place in every grade, and a grand R10 000 prize for the school whose learners collect the most accolades. The exhibition features artwork from 18 local primary schools, spanning Grades 0 to 7, and offers students their first experience presenting their work to the public.
“Art gives children a voice that extends well beyond the classroom, and there is something quite special about seeing that work displayed in a shared public space,” said Barbara Perry, Marketing Manager at the mall. “For a lot of these children, this is the first time their work has been seen by anyone outside their school. We believe that kind of recognition matters, and it is why this exhibition has become such an important part of what we do for our community.”
The participating schools include American International School of Johannesburg (Pretoria Campus), British Royal College, Curro Hazeldean, Hatfield Christian Primary School, Kingdom School Equestria, Kingsland Academy, Laerskool Anton van Wouw, Laerskool Elarduspark, Laerskool Garsfontein, Laerskool Menlopark, Laerskool Tygerpoort, Pretoria French School, Pure Hope School, Reddford House The Hills, Royal Schools Princess Park, Tomorrow's People, Waterkloof House Preparatory School, and Woodhill College.
From crayons to canvases, Pretoria’s primary school learners are taking over Woodlands Mall with their creativity.
