An Indonesian content creator has gone viral after sharing a hilarious and terrifying encounter with a snake while riding a water slide at a waterpark.
TikTok creator Syl Aja (@syl.aja) took to the platform to set the record straight, explaining that she is not afraid of water slides - she is simply afraid of snakes.
The video, titled “POV: takut seluncuran (scared of the slide) ❌ takut ular 🐍✅ (afraid of snakes)”, has amassed more than 14 million views on TikTok.
In the clip, Aja can be seen sitting at the front of an inflatable tube with her feet facing forward as she glides down the water slide.
Wearing white slippers covered in plastic, she appears to be enjoying the ride until an unexpected passenger enters the scene.
A snake, caught in the rushing water current, suddenly appears on the slide and desperately attempts to slither away from the approaching tube.
As the reptile races alongside her, Aja lets out screams of panic while the pair speed towards the bottom of the slide.
“Let’s race,” Aja jokingly captioned the video.
The unusual encounter quickly amused viewers, with thousands flocking to the comments section to share their reactions.
“Who won?” joked user @natalie252525.

“I’d just start crying and accept my fate,” commented @fablewoodss.
@lobaluvsfisch added: “I would never go on a water slide again.”
Fortunately, neither Aja nor the snake was harmed during the unexpected race.
Both safely reached the end of the slide, and Aja later shared a follow-up video showing waterpark staff carefully removing the snake from the attraction.
The amusing incident continues to entertain millions online, proving that sometimes the most memorable waterpark rides are the ones no one could have predicted.
